Terms & Conditions – Live Chameleon Sales

By purchasing a chameleon from this business, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.



Health & Condition at Time of Sale

All chameleons are observed to be healthy, hydrated, alert, and feeding appropriately at the time of sale. Once an animal leaves the seller’s possession, environmental conditions and husbandry are outside the seller’s control.

Chameleons are highly sensitive reptiles that require precise care. Improper setup, dehydration, stress, or temperature errors can quickly result in decline or death.

Proof of Proper Setup (Required)

To qualify for any guarantee, the buyer must submit clear photo or video proof of a proper enclosure within 48 hours (2 days) of purchase.

Proof must include:

  • Full enclosure view
  • UVB lighting
  • Basking light
  • Hydration system (dripper, misting, etc.)
  • Confirmation of appropriate temperatures and humidity

Failure to submit enclosure proof within 48 hours voids all guarantees.

Guarantee Timeframes & Resolutions

1–3 Weeks from Purchase

If a chameleon passes away within 1–3 weeks of purchase, and proper setup proof was submitted within 48 hours, the buyer may be eligible for one of the following:

  • A refund, or
  • A replacement chameleon of similar value

The resolution is determined by the seller based on documentation and circumstances.

Up to 30 Days from Purchase

If a chameleon passes away within 30 days of purchase, and proper setup proof was submitted within 48 hours, the buyer may be eligible for:

  • A replacement chameleon of equal value

Refunds are not offered after the initial 3-week period.

After 30 Days

After 30 days from the purchase date, no refunds or replacements are offered under any circumstances.

Returns

Live animal returns are accepted only by prior agreement. Returned animals will be evaluated upon receipt. Any resolution will follow the terms outlined above.

Communication Policy

Text messaging is the preferred method of communication for care questions, as it allows for accuracy, documentation, and sharing of reference materials. Phone calls may not always be answered immediately.

Reasonable response times may vary, but all messages will be addressed as promptly as possible.

Buyer Responsibility

The buyer acknowledges that:

  • Chameleons require advanced and species-specific care
  • Responsibility for the animal transfers fully to the buyer at the time of sale
  • Stress, improper handling, incorrect setup, or environmental errors may cause illness or death

Final Determination

All refunds, replacements, or guarantees are granted at the seller’s discretion based on documentation, timelines, and husbandry evidence.

Acceptance of Terms

Purchase of a chameleon constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions listed above.

Return and Refund Policy
